Dear friends, with six days till T-Day, we are running away briefly to a favorite family tradition- Point Beach Lighthouse Cottage in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. We have dear memories of pre-deployment, post-deployment, pre-treatment get-aways, as well as many other times when the winds were not blowing quite as strongly as they do these days. There are miles of beautiful walking trails, and benches invitingly situated along our lovely Lake Michigan. Campfires often evoke memorable family conversations after dark, and we go to bed smelling smokey. We are thankful to have this opportunity, though we are a bit sad Markie cannot join us. For my part, I’m grateful to report no signs of illness, and actually I’m feeling quite robust. God continues to sustain us, and we look toward this last treatment phase with no reason to fear–2 Corinthians 4:17 “…For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory….” Thank you for caring, praying, and sharing–I treasure your friendships!
